HRI are currently recruiting for an IT Business Analyst in a permanent capacity.

The Role:

The Business Analyst will work as part of the HRI IT team responsible for Horse Racing Ireland's IT Systems and will provide support to other HRI entities as required. The Business Analyst will gather, review and analyse data in relation to project requirements and communicate urgency, value, benefits, risks and proposed solutions to key stakeholders in line with objectives and deadlines.


Responsibilities

  • Workshop facilitation, requirements gathering, business process definition and improvement.
  • Conduct meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.
  • Manage Project Scope.
  • Manage User Requirements List.
  • Create a Training Plan. 
  • Deliver Business Improvement.
  • Identify and manage change management.
  • Manage specific issues & Risks.
  • Work with business units to identify requirements -- producing required project analysis documentation (business requirements, scope matrix, use cases, sequence diagrams, future state proposals, Functional specifications, UAT plan)
  • Map business processes and high-level solutions.
  • Develop and implement test plans to ensure successful delivery of a project.
  • Communicate across departments and work with internal and external stakeholders to manage the impact of change.
  • Ensure projects are run using Prince 2 project management methodology (Using an Agile approach where suitable).
  • Management of UAT.
  • Support all other IT members as and when required to meet the department's quality and service objectives
  • Keep abreast of best practices & appropriately network to broaden self-experience to be of business benefit - driving continuous improvement in our IT and Service delivery.
  • Research potential solutions. Ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements.
  • Allocate resources and maintain cost efficiency.
  • Monitor deliverables and ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Provide or support training in new solutions and assist with go-live of solutions.
