Comer Group Ireland, one of Ireland's largest private landlords, are seeking a Full Time, Maintenance Team Lead- General Operative to join our Maintenance Team. This role requires movement to work across multiple residential and commercial blocks, completing plumbing and maintenance works in multiple properties.
The Block Maintenance team are directly responsible for the maintenance of Block Common Areas. Including internal and external common areas.
Maintenance Team Lead (MTL) is responsible for the management of Block maintenance tasks and personnel.

The duties and responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to the following:
- Continuous communication and interaction with the Group Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Team
- Identify and report preventative maintenance issues to the Group Maintenance Manager
- Cutting, welding and assembling fittings, and fixtures
- To respond to and attend all building related safety concerns
- Maintain compliance with all company building and maintenance standards
- Regular communication with Property Managers to ensure all maintenance, water and gas related issues logged are resolved in a timely, efficient and safe manner
- Troubleshooting and resolving utilities systems issues
- Assist in specifying proper supplies and equipment for operations
- To respond to emergency situations and call outs when necessary
- To travel between sites and locations in the relevant assigned region
- Assist in the management of the day-to-day workload for the maintenance team to ensure an effective and efficient service is delivered and departmental targets are achieved.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement throughout the team of skilled Technicians.
- Provide leadership and line management to the team, coordinating and overseeing their workloads, providing support to ensure that the team delivers, monitoring any issues, and ensuring targets, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and quality standards are met.
- Develop the team by focusing on individual performance and support requirements to achieve high standards, whilst fostering a culture of working safely
The ideal candidate will have:
- Industrial or Commercial experience
- Experience in a similar role
- Excellent organisational skills
- Focused with a good personality
- Fast learner and ability to work on own initiative
- Excellent attention to detail
- Flexibility
- Full Clean Drivers Licence
- Immediate start available
