WeFlex - Fleet Insurance and Risk Manager

WeFlex is at the forefront of the electric vehicle revolution - and our mission is to make electric vehicles accessible - starting with the ride-hailing market (e.g. Uber and Bolt).

We provide ride-hailing drivers with finance to purchase a range of different electric vehicles, from affordable MGs to luxury Mercedes and Teslas. We are growing at a very rapid pace (60% YOY, profitable for the last 2 years) and the fleet and customer base are growing with us, with just under 2,000 customers driving cars in our fleet and plans to double this over the next year. Over 60% of our customers benefit from insurance under our umbrella fleet policy

We are a close-knit team of just over 50 dedicated to de-carbonising the world, starting with the taxi industry. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Fleet Insurance & Risk Manager to join us in this exciting growth stage of our business and take on the management of our fleet insurance policy.

Reporting in our Director of Operations you will be responsible for managing our fleet risk, developing and implementing strategies to manage the risks related our fleet insurance book, and managing policy and claims performance.

Key responsibilities of the role are:

1. Risk Assessment and Management:

  • Utilising fleet telematics and claims data, identify, assess, and manage risks related to vehicle insurance.
  • Utilise fleet telematics to monitor and assess customer driving behaviour and competency for the purposes of feedback and insurance pricing.
  • Analyse data to identify trends and potential risks within our fleet and customer base.
  • Develop and implement strategies and policies that will positively impact on our motor claims experience.

2. Claims Management:

  • Monitor and analyse the performance of our fleet insurance policy.
  • Manage the interface with our insurance provider and FNOL provider. Ensuing claims are managed effectively and losses are minimised.
  • Act as the main point of contact within the business for internal departments and external stakeholders on all claims related queries and requests for information
  • Manage the total loss process to ensure the business impact is minimised,
  • Oversee all claims-related administrative activities to ensure claims-related processes are well-managed.

3. Policy & Process Development:

  • Monitor and update driver qualification policies to mitigate risks.
  • Review and update claims processes to ensure the efficient handling of claims between our insurance provider and customer-facing teams.

4. Stakeholder Communication & Reporting:

  • Produce management reports on our claims and policy performance for the senior management and board-level teams
  • Communicate risk management strategies to senior management and stakeholders. Measure and report on the effectiveness of implemented strategies.
  • Requirements

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the insurance/motor claims sector
  • Experience of using data to improve claims performance
  • Experience using PowerBI or similar tools is highly desirable
  • Experience working with a fleet telematics system and utilising telematics data is highly desirable
  • Can demonstrate a proven track record of successfully achieving KPIs and targets
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide-range of stakeholders within the organisation and externally.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to track and interpret metrics and data.
  • Strong self-motivation and enthusiasm to drive and influence change.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in using MS Office (including Excel) software.
  • This is a hybrid role and the successful candidate will be required to work at least 3 days from our office based in West Acton.
