Freight Forwarding Operations Supervisor / Manager

Role level depends on experience - can start at supervisor level or come in as manager

£35 - 45k depending on experience (more for the right candidate at management level), plus annual bonus, company phone & laptop, nest pension

Our client is a small but successful Freight Forwarder in Somerset, on the border of Bristol.

They have been established for 8 years, and are now in a phase of growth. The director needs to focus on the business strategy, so needs someone to manage the team of 5 in the office, looking after mostly European Road Freight import and export, as well as Ocean Freight imports from Asia and exports to USA & Canada.

This will be a hands-on role, so knowledge of EU Road Freight is essential, and if you have strong customs experience as well as seafreight forwarding experience, this is perfect.

This is a great opportunity for someone at a junior supervisory level who wants to take that next step, or someone who is already managing a team and is looking for something more local.

This is a friendly team, with a relaxed but hard-working atmosphere.

We have placed staff here previously and have been retained to find this person, so we have good knowledge of the company and its practices.

Requirements
