So, what’s the job about? As a Trainee Management Accountant, you’ll gain vital experience by working directly with site managers and playing a key role in our financial processes. You’ll be responsible for balance sheet reconciliations, managing prepayments and accruals, and ensuring stakeholders stay informed through daily and monthly performance reports.

You’ll assist in budgeting, standard costing, and preparing monthly management accounts, while also contributing to production and recovery analysis. In addition, you’ll help drive improvements by reviewing stock and production volumes and handling ad hoc queries to support the team’s success.

What skills are required? 
We think this job would suit someone who has some previous work experience, or maybe you could be a graduate looking for your first role?

• Actively studying CIMA, Graduate or AAT qualified
• Good excel skills: Pivot tables, conditional formatting, charts, and Vlookups
• Able to communicate and discuss accounting terminology a way none finance stakeholders will understand
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work to deadlines particularly around accounting periods
