BMS Project manager - Small works

£50 - 65k salary + Car allowance and mileage

Job Description

  • Project Manage and deliver BMS small works projects from the beginning to the very end of its lifecycle
  • Produce and submit programme of works at the outset of the project and update regularly to reflect actual and projected progress
  • Ensure that all works have the required RAMS prior to works commencing and that necessary health and safety checks have been undertaken prior to works commencing with the support of the Head of the Department or our Health and Safety Advisors as necessary
  • Ensure that project-related documentation is completed.
  • Points Schedules
  • Technical Submittals
  • Requests for Information (RFIs)
  • Organising handovers and demonstrations once the project has been completed
  • Manage own workload to ensure Small Works remain on programme and advise Service Delivery Manager of available time for other works.
  • Carry out other duties as required by Directors from time to time
  • Support the Maintenance Manager in delivery of PPM works in line with PPM Engineer job spec when time allows
  • Represent the company at Client meetings and maintain regular Client communication as necessary
  • Nurture Client and supplier relationships
  • Ensure that all waste is removed from the site under current waste regulations for all Maintenance works under the companies remit
  • Ensure all company procedures are followed

Experience needed/ Skills

  • Extensive experience with Trend BMS systems
  • Primary technical knowledge of Trend, Tridium and Schneider EcoStruxure, as well as other legacy systems.
  • Experience of BEMS control strategy design.
  • Ability to work independently without supervision.
  • Conversant with Trend SET and the operation of all aspects of control strategies
  • Understanding of all varieties of Trend networking – current LAN, Ethernet, BACnet and LonWorks
  • Experience with Trend 963 supervisory software
  • Understanding of mechanical plant operation and control
  • Understanding of electrical systems
  • Desire to learn and support new technologies / alternative control system
  • Ability to assess risks in the working environment and follow safe working procedures
  • Excellent IT skills | Microsoft word/excel and Sage or simular CRM software
