Civil Engineer required for our client who are a growing consultancy in Norwich.

They are seeking a Civil Engineer to join the team. The Civil Engineer will be to responsible for the day to day running of Civil Engineering projects as part of a team with the ability to work alongside other engineers.

Our client is a multi-Disciplined company that have a great reputation for working on prestigious buildings and the offshore sector predominantly, although onshore projects are also a key part of the role.

Our client is seeking a driven, ambitious and successful Civil Engineer that has a desire to work one some exciting projects up and down the UK.

It is essential for the Civil Engineer to have a variety of design and project experience as our client are multidisciplinary and projects can vairy.

Civil Engineer Position Overview

  • Preparation of associated drawings from concept stage through to construction.
  • Growing civil engineering expertise as well as maintaining and developing Client relationships.
  • Manage, design, develop, create and maintain small-scale through to large-scale construction projects in a safe, timely and sustainable manner
  • support and coaching of other team members in undertaking technical work and report writing
  • Conduct on site investigations and analyse data (maps, reports, tests, drawings and other)
  • Carry out technical and feasibility studies and draw up designs that satisfy technical specifications
  • Assess potential risks, materials and costs
  • Provide advice and resolve creatively any emerging problems/deficiencies
  • Oversee and mentor staff and liaise with a variety of stakeholders
  • Hand over the resulting structures and services for use
  • Monitor progress and compile reports on project status
  • Manage budget and purchase of equipment/materials
  • Comply with guidelines and regulations including permits, safety etc and deliver technical files and other technical documentation as required

Civil Engineer Position Requirements

  • The candidate must have at least 3 years of relevant civil/structural design and assessment experience
  • Chartered or currently studying for chartership in eitther ICE or IStructE or equivalent
  • Civil engineer able to prepare designs, check drawings & write, review and accept civil engineering scopes for designers and contractors with minimal supervision.
  • Co-ordination of multi-disciplines requirements with the development of civil engineering solutions.
  • Hands-on surveys and using design and technical standards Eurocodes / BS standards
