Manufacturing Fitter

We are seeking a Manufacturing Fitter to work for an equipment manufacturing company in Christchurch, Dorset.
Responsibilities:
• Assemble and fit a diverse range of mechanical products.
• Conduct small fabrication work and prototyping.
• Maintain and repair high-pressure cylinders.
• Operate hand and power tools, such as grinders and drills.
• Ensure that the workspace is maintained according to 5S principles.
Required Experience and Skills:]
• Previous experience working under manufacturing environments.
• Mechanical background will be advantageous.
• Proven ability to read and interpret P&ID and basic mechanical/electrical drawings.
• Experience with 12/24 volt DC electrical systems.
• Excellent organizational skills within a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• Skilled in high-pressure pipework up to 300 Bar will be beneficial.
Schedule:
• Day Shift – Monday to Friday
• Monday to Thursday: 6:30 AM to 4:00 pm; Friday: 6:30 AM to 12:30 noon.
