Driver

Location: Portbury, Somerset

Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday, 08:00–16:00

PAYE Rate: £11.94 p/h

Igloo is currently seeking Drivers to work for our client in Portbury. Our client is one of the UK’s largest and most prestigious automotive and logistics company, and successful candidates can expect to play an essential role in their day-to-day operations.

The Role:

• Drivers will be responsible for driving vehicles to, from and within large vehicle compounds.
• Movements will include driving between different compounds within the area, as well as moving vehicles into and out of the workshops and bay parking within the compound.
• Overseeing specific areas of the vehicle compound,
• Vehicles will range from small family cars through to high performance and high value cars.
• Drivers will be expected to drive different transmissions, such as, manuals, automatics, semi-automatics, and electric vehicles.
• Drivers will need to carry out an inspection of the vehicle prior to moving them to ensure any damage is reported.
• Drivers will need to be happy to work out in the compound in all weathers and will need to wear car friendly workwear and safety boots.

What kind of person we are looking for?

• You must be comfortable with driving different makes, models, and sizes of vehicles.
• Vehicles will range from manual to automatic gear boxes so, experience with this is a must.
• You must have held a full UK driving licence for a minimum of 3 years with no more than 6 points for minor offences.
• Previous, professional driving experience is desirable.
