Healthcare Cleaning Supervisor

Location: Liverpool, L9 7LJ

Hours of work: 37.5

Contract Type: Permanent

The Healthcare Cleaning Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day operations and supervision of all healthcare cleaning activities, ensuring high performance standards and efficient service delivery that meets customer requirements and service level agreements.

Your primary focus will be to deliver a first-class cleaning service across all areas of responsibility in alignment with our client's quality and standards.

Job Description

As Healthcare Cleaning Supervisor, you will review work schedules to ensure seamless communication and effective service delivery according to the contract.

Responding to customer requirements promptly, politely, and professionally is key, as is carrying out all duties in a courteous manner.

You will familiarise yourself with and follow all relevant policies and procedures, actively participating in the company’s Health and Safety policy and reporting any dangers, near misses, or hazards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Allocate the workload in line with the planning and maintaining of staff rotas, updating work schedules as required to meet the needs of the service
  • Ensure the provision of an effective and efficient domestic service under the direction of the Operations Manager
  • Work on areas with, or in the absence of staff
  • Ensure that quality monitoring, activity reporting and performance monitoring is fully and properly implemented and maintained as per company policy and procedure
  • Complete quality control inspections in conjunction with ward and departmental managers as required following schedule
  • Participate and conduct, as required, in regular team meetings, community meetings, performance reviews, job chats, return to work discussions and accident and other investigations
  • Ensure correct materials and methods are always used and equipment is kept clean and in good working order. Report faulty machinery/equipment immediately
  • Identify the need for cleaning materials and raise requisitions as necessary
  • Trial new cleaning materials and equipment as required

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

  • Previous experience of managing, leading and motivating a Cleaning team (preferably in Healthcare)
  • Good soft skills and motivational skills
  • Proactive with great communication skills – written and verbal
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast pace multicultural environment
  • Works well under pressure
  • Good computer skills
