Our client is an Essex based medium size civil engineering and groundwork’s contractor. Having forged a strong reputation for delivering projects on behalf of its client base, they are now looking to add an experienced Groundworks Estimator to its estimating department. The role is built upon a strong order book and an eye to expansion. The successful candidate will be offered a strong career path which will lead to management level with the continued expansion of the company.
They work within a range of construction sectors such as residential, commercial and industrial, taking on groundwork’s, drainage, access roads, paving and basic infrastructure for main contractors, housing developers and private clients. They have some very long standing relationships with many clients who have offered them repeat business while also being able to maintain good profit levels.
ROLE
- To take the lead in preparing the pricing element of tenders and to assist other estimators when required on larger tenders
- With the Contracts Manager, developing the tender strategy and managing the financial submission
- Contributing to risk assessment and ensuring all risks are included within the tender
- Assuring accuracy, competitiveness and compliance of tenders
- Contributing to the submission document and Contract Documentation
- Ensuring all risks are recorded and accounted for within the tender
- Supporting the Bid Manager in bid negotiations
