Our client is seeking a Surfacing Supervisor to join their team.

The successful candidate will manage all operational aspects of the surfacing contract, including programming, resourcing, and cost control. In this role, you will ensure all operations on site fully comply with all health, safety, environment, and quality requirements.

Key Tasks and Accountabilities:

• To supervise and ensure all operatives full comply and adhere to all company Health, Safety & Environmental Policies, and procedures.
• Ensure materials are laid to correct thicknesses to help reduce waste materials from being sent to tip, which impacts on both cost and environment, i.e. ‘Carbon footprint’.
• To help ensure full compliance to Sector 16, i.e. temperature checks, daily laying records, whilst a “Right 1st Time” approach is adopted at all times.
• Keep daily record sheets, (traffic management sheets, daily plant and van inspections, defect reports, sweeper check sheet, laying records, waste transfer records, site Induction, spotters in place, overhead cables identified, temporary ramping, cone and guarding, daily hours, including any other report sheets).
• To assist the Commercial and Finance Departments in the monitoring of costs and preparation of final accounts.
• Submit monthly KPI information by requested date e.g. exposure hours, Planning tonnages, waste, and vehicle/plant information for Carbon footprint.
• To attend and participate in team briefings.

Qualifications/Skills:

• Full UK Driving Licence
• Experience in civil engineering, surfacing or asphalt 
• CSCS Card 
• SSSTS - Desirable
