Our client is currently looking to recruit a Senior Building Surveyor on an initial 5 month contract, working within the disrepair team.
Senior Surveyor
Bristol – Hybrid
£350 per day
The successful candidate will have experience working within Disrepair and producing condition reports. Within the role you will be leading the disrepair surveying team, managing the disrepair process from end to end, producing condition reports and preparing specifications of work, amongst the following –

The successful candidate will have experience working within Disrepair and producing condition reports. Within the role you will be leading the disrepair surveying team, managing the disrepair process from end to end, producing condition reports and preparing specifications of work, amongst the following –
- To produce high quality condition reports for properties identified as suffering disrepair.
- Prioritisation and risk profiling of works identified within the Health and Safety Rating System.
- Conduct intrusive/destructive surveys and diagnose defects
- Produce or procure specialist damp surveys as required.
- Preparation of detailed specifications of work, selecting the appropriate SOR, quantity and measurement rule.
- Order required works, setting out the required timescale with the customer and appointed contractor.
- Tenant co-ordination, communication, and liaison and resolution of any complaints.
- Working in close liaison with the litigation team, produce expert witness reports in the defence of any legal challenges, and if required attend court to defend the position.
- Selection and appointment of new framework contractor/s, in liaison with the procurement team.
- Contract management of the appointed framework contractor/s.
- Inspection and quality checks of completed work, and work in progress, for compliance with the specification.
