GMP Recruitment are proud to be in partnership with one of the world's largest suppliers of advanced aerospace products with an international reach. We are recruiting on their behalf for an experienced Project Manager to join their team on a full time, permanent contract.

The successful candidate can expect a salary of up to £50k, which is dependent on experience.

As Operations Manager you will be responsible for leading projects through the process in place and report to management and stakeholders’ on the projects progresses through templates, emails & communication plan. You will also be responsible of the overall execution of strategic projects (belong to Technology group) in agreed delay, cost and quality.

To be considered you must be responsible for planning, managing, and supporting projects goals and deliverables according of steering committee agreement within our clients Aerospace organization.  Projects management scope include (but are not limited to) research and development, New product / technical launch, new product / technologies development, Complex Sales projects, Products / technology transfer from factories to external AH factories.

Project Manager main duties:

  • Lead projects tasks / deliverables at the right level of quality – through Quality KPIs
  • Lead project planning – OTD of deliverables through projects and organization
  • Lead and manage budget / cost of projects.
  • Be responsible to manage Projects Milestones and its formalization.
  • Responsible of the communication of the project through the internal organization and to customers/stakeholders.
  • Anticipate and Escalate issues to the right level of management.
  • Anticipate and Mitigate failures and risks.
  • Coordinate the full project operational activity though the project team across the relevant department involved (engineering, sales, R&D, qualification, quality, manufacturing, purchasing…etc). Also check and secure availability of such resources with department managers.
  • Rare travel (1-2 times a year) around Europe or outside Europe depending on the stakeholders’ location.
  • Occasional travel to UK manufacturing sites for training purposes is required.
  • Timely and quality delivery on the achievement of Projects
  • Provide regular project pipeline detailed status.
  • Supported delivery of Aero BUs: Sales, Margin, Profit and Cash objectives
  • Any others relevant KPI which would be defined within the global project management process.

Project Manager required skills and experience:

  • Relevant technical diploma / degree desired however not necessary if practical knowledge has been obtained (Bachelor/master’s in engineering).
  • Range of experience as project manager or similar roles. Industry experience is preferred.
  • Self-motivated with Strategic planning and policy deployment
  • Good Leadership and ability to manage remote project teams including Coaching and mentoring.
  • Product / Project strategy; planning, execution research and development tools and processes with a high proficiency in project management tools, software.
  • Technical aptitude and aerospace products knowledge.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills
  • Policy deployment experience
  • Strong technical aptitude in Projects Management
