Packaging is a key part of this Food manufacturer, ensuring that they are constantly reducing their packaging footprint and improving their environmental impact is critical to the success of the business. This Packaging Technologist is focused on the delivery of the NPD and EPD programmes together with developing the pipeline for packaging over the next 12-18months. A highly visible topic for every business with great exposure at all levels internally and widely recognised externally.

You will be part of the Procurement and Development Teams and will have a significant impact working with suppliers, customers and internal stakeholders.

The Role

• Looks at short, medium and long term packaging projects
• Works across multiple sites
• Part of a multi-functional team
• Brings Technical / Packaging knowledge to the role and wider teams
• Develops NPD and Purchasing in key aspects within packaging functionality
• Present with NPD and Commercial to retailers on key projects
• Direct customer contact
• Travel required and flexibility given

Your background

• In-depth knowledge as a packaging technologist and strong current awareness of the packaging trends in the industry.
• Strong communication skills both internally and externally
• Ability to influence across the management teams
• Ability to be creative and investigative in nature
