Carbon 60 is looking to recruit a Repairs Supervisor for its client based in Bristol

Pay rate is £300 per day Umbrella

This contract is due to start immediately and last 5 months

The role will include a combination of backlog maintenance repair works or new works generated from ongoing stock condition surveys.

Experience of the application of HHSRS and the Housing Ombudsman approach to resolving and managing disrepair is essential.

Role Requirements

  • Risk profiling and prioritisation of works, from the workbook of outstanding orders.
  • Inspection of defects within customer homes, and production of specifications of work.
  • Selection and appointment of new framework contractor/s, in liaison with the BCC procurement team. (Preferably based on the NHF schedule of rates).
  • Preparation of detailed specifications of work, selecting the appropriate SOR, quantity and measurement rule.
  • Order required works, setting out the required timescale with the customer and appointed contractor, and management of orders, work in progress to completion.
  • Contract management of the appointed framework contractor/s. (Formal monthly meetings and contract administration, under the agreed form of contract)
  • Tenant co-ordination, communication, and liaison and resolution of any complaints.
  • Cost management, checking of agreed rates, approval of variations, valuations and invoices, preparation of cash flow forecasts.
  • Inspection and quality checks of completed work, and work in progress, for compliance with the specification.
  • Preparation and submission of the F10 notification, in compliance with the CDM regulations, ensuring the Construction phase plan is implemented.
  • Health and safety inspections, to ensure the various risk assessment, method statements and safe systems of work are adhered to.
  • Evidence and sign of completed works.
  • Liaison and sharing of information with BS team, compliance, and transformation project team.

You must have

  • HNC or equivalent qualification in a construction or building related subject plus a further period of related experience OR equivalent knowledge and skill demonstrated from significant and relevant experience in a building, surveying or similar construction related environment
  • Experience of contractor, sub contractor, surveyors and technical staff supervision
  • A commitment to lead, motivate and develop staff
  • Good organisational skills
  • Take ownership and be accountable for all aspects of the service provided
  • Team organisation skills
  • Have the ability to liaise with other departments to ensure service delivery
  • Excellent oral, written and electronic communication skills
  • Exceptional budget management
  • The ability to employ best practice at all times
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications including email, word processing, spreadsheets, internet usage and have a willingness to adapt to new technologies
  • Experience working in a service orientated environment

You will be a designated regular car user across the city, including the transportation of tools so any candidate must have a full UK drivers licence
