Technical Project Manager – £45,000 plus bonus and excellent benefits – Cardiff (Hybrid)
Joining Ogi is a unique opportunity to work within an innovative Welsh business and one of the fastest-growing companies in Wales.

You may have known us previously as Spectrum Internet and NSUK, but we've rebranded to Ogi - a new name that reflects our commitment to serving Welsh communities. We’ve received a multi-million-pound investment and are currently in the thick of our large-scale full-fibre internet deployment across South Wales!

This role has been created to work closely with the wider business and understand their processes and IT needs, spot opportunities for process improvements, and turn these into technology solutions. You'll also help plan and manage a range of change projects, ensuring we meet our key strategic goals along the way.

About you…
We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, the role focussed on communicating the art of the possible from our current/future platforms to help the business understand how technology can be an enabler for improved efficiency of existing processes and new business flows.

Ideally, you’ll have experience in Agile environments, with a solid background in project management and business analysis. Given our start-up phase, we need a Project Manager skilled in requirements gathering and business analysis, ideally with experience in internet services or telecoms and extensive network deployment knowledge.

In our restructured IT team, focused on DevOps and transformation, you’ll be responsible for delivering IT and business transformation projects on time and within budget. This role requires a diverse skill set, attention to detail, and strong emotional intelligence. Building and maintaining trust with senior stakeholders is crucial, as you’ll be managing and delivering transformational projects and ensuring their smooth transition into BAU

This isn’t a typical Project Manager role; we’re a start-up where flexibility and efficiency are key. We’re looking for someone who can embrace new challenges, contribute ideas, and thrive in a dynamic environment. Excellent communication and prioritisation skills are essential, and while Prince2, APM, or PMI certifications are a plus, we value ambition and a willingness to learn and grow with our team.

We place a strong emphasis on attitude, passion for technology, and the idea that "it's okay" is never good enough. Other experience & attributes we’re looking for include –
* Highly organised and driven with a can-do attitude, able to work to deadlines and motivate others.
* Experience in managing budgets and ensuring cost control of projects.
* Handling complexity, ambiguity and a fast-changing, often demanding work environment.
* Challenge and influence within the project, bringing both gravitas and project management experience to support this.
* Drive momentum and delivery within projects and be clear on how to manage and work through challenges and risks.

What you’ll be doing…
Reporting to the Director of IT & Transformation, the Project Manager plays a crucial role at Ogi. You’ll work closely with the business to grasp their processes and IT needs, identify opportunities for process improvement, and translate these into tech requirements. You’ll also communicate how our platforms can enhance efficiency and drive new business flows.

Your insights will help shape the Transformation and IT Roadmaps alongside the IT & Transformation Director, supporting both the strategic vision and practical implementation.

If you’ve worked in a similar type of role you’ll know the day-to-day responsibilities are varied and challenging; typical responsibilities will include -
* Manage projects end-to-end, ensuring timely, budget-compliant delivery in a fast-paced environment.
* Working closely with stakeholders to baseline current processes/systems, understand future requirements, and identify opportunities for improvement/re-engineering
* Work closely with the rest of the IT team to understand the current data model, manage changes to it and how to leverage analytics from it to enhance the business
 * Work with the Compliance Manager to create a performance maturity model and maintain quality management systems (e.g., ISO9001, ISO27001).
* Creation, ownership and maintenance of project documentation
* Developing and managing project schedules and progress updates #
* Helping to maintain and improve Ogi’s programme & project management framework
