Our client, a leading company in their sector, is seeking a dynamic and driven Production Manager offering a salary of up to £40,000 to join their team in Bristol. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth operation of their facility, with responsibilities spanning health and safety, production, logistics, and aftersales management. You’ll lead a dedicated team to produce high-quality product, all while managing operational efficiency within strict time and cost parameters.
 
Key Responsibilities
Duty Management:
  • Act as Deputy for the Centre Manager and other Duty Managers as needed, overseeing operations.
  • Maintain a strong culture of safety, addressing non-conformances swiftly.
  • Collaborate with the management team to uphold standards and site security.
  • Manage and resolve queries and complaints from both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed and provide support to other locations.
People Management:
  • Manage the entire employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding.
  • Oversee team performance through training, coaching, and appraisals to ensure high performance and a strong talent pipeline.
  • Conduct grievance and disciplinary procedures as required.
  • Ensure effective workforce management, including absence planning and maintaining optimal staffing levels.
  • Communicate key results and priorities to your team to keep everyone aligned.
Operational Management:
  • Oversee the timely production of high-quality products, focusing on arrivals, appraisals, images, and enhancements.
  • Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures.
  • Meet quality, speed, and cost targets to maximise profitability.
  • Manage inventory effectively to ensure vehicles are ready for sale within SLA’s.
  • Work closely with central teams to optimise performance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with third-party suppliers.
 
About You
To be successful in this role, you should have:
  • Experience in a line manager or team leader position.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to communicate clearly with team members and supervisors.
  • A full UK Driving Licence.
Technical Skills:
  • Proven ability to delegate responsibilities effectively.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams to meet targets.
  • Proficiency in generating reports and delivering presentations.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and time management.
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
