Pure are delighted to be partnering with an excellent business based in Witham looking for an experienced Payroll/ Assistant Accountant to join the team on a 6 month contract basis.

Duties will include the following:
- Responsible for processing monthly payroll
- Responsible for managing the payment run process - weekly/monthly runs
- Responsible for ensuring the bank accounts are reconciled on a daily basis
- Responsible for Balance Sheet reconciliations, including reconciling all intercompany balances at month-end and resolving any discrepancies
- Regularly circulating timesheet analysis and chasing line managers for incomplete/inaccurate time recording
- Responsible for ensuring that all subcontractor compliance is maintained, and CIS is appropriately applied where applicable
- Preparation of accurate HMRC submission such as PAYE, VAT, CIS, P11D
- Supporting internal and external audit process
- Support the Commercial Finance Manager and Head of Finance and Finance Director with any financial analysis as required
- Streamline and drive continuous improvement in order to gain efficiencies in the finance team
- AAT qualified or part qualified in ACCA/CIMA
- Ideally 2+ Years experience in Payroll
- Management Accounts experience
- Strong Excel Skills
- High attention to detail
- A can-do attitude
- Clear communicator
