Production Engineer
Sunderland – Permanent
Salary £40,000 to £45,000 per annum DOE
A global manufacturing engineering company are looking to recruit a Production Engineer, with an electrical background.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has experience in a similar role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be flexible overtime dependent on company requirements.
Role & Responsibilities
- Providing technical support for both maintenance and production departments
- Working to reduce machine downtime and improve efficiency
- Making modifications to equipment to achieve OEE targets
- Keeping up to date with new technology research
- Designing and implementing cost effective modifications to improve reliability of machine automation
- PLC and robot programming required for machine modification and improvement
Knowledge & Experience
- Extensive experience of Robotics and PLC programming (Fanuc and Omron)
- Knowledge of the APQP Quality process
- Good understanding of machinery safety legislation
- Must have Level 4 electrically bias qualification
- Experience working within a similar role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
