Production & Operations Manager – Bristol, BS37

Salary: £48,000 - £53,000 DOE +Weekly Performance Bonus

Your Job
 

• Oversee the day-to-day production activities of a fast-paced production site, managing the whole production process of bespoke made-to-measure office chairs & components.
   
• Monitoring quality, safety and overall standards of the Production department from raw material to end product.

• Identifying opportunities for process improvement, making recommendations where necessary, adopting a continuous improvement approach using LEAN manufacturing methods
   
• Generate production reports, analyse KPI's and present to senior management at regular intervals. As part of a collaborative and diverse workplace culture.

• Working in a collaborative environment with the product design teams to create, prototype and eventually launch new and innovative products within the industry.

• Driving innovation, positive change and manufacturing excellence within a fast-growing, market MVP company.

• Dynamic problem solving and enjoying the opportunity for self-growth. The role has opportunity to develop into a director level position within the near future, so the ambition to excel is crucial.

Your Background
 

• Qualification in Operations Management, engineering or related discipline a plus but not essential. Experience, aptitude and ambition valued above all else.
   
• Proven experience in a management role or history of management within a manufacturing or production environment.
   
• Strong knowledge of health & safety regulations and quality control standards when implemented in product production.

• Experience working alongside creative and technical teams to design and launch new products would be a benefit but not essential at this stage.

• An understanding of MRP and ERP software solutions and their use within live manufacturing environments.
