Substance Misuse Specialist (Youth Services)

Belmont recruitment are looking to speak with people experienced working with substance misuse clients and young people to work at a newly established private charity based in the Oxfordshire area.

Job Purpose:
Supporting young people (up to age 25) affected by alcohol and drug use through trauma-informed assessments, care planning, and interventions. Focus on building resilience, reducing negative impacts on education and wellbeing, and engaging families in the care process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload, providing personalized support and conducting detailed assessments.
  • Deliver evidence-based individual and group interventions with a focus on harm reduction.
  • Engage with young people and families in community settings, ensuring their voices influence service delivery.
  • Collaborate with multi-agency teams and contribute to safeguarding efforts.
  • Maintain accurate records and meet reporting requirements.

Experience & Skills:

  • Experience working with vulnerable youth, delivering assessments, and care planning.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and multi-agency collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of harm reduction, safeguarding, and youth development.
