The Role

This is an exciting time of growth and transformation for us, and we are hiring an Operational Excellence Director to lead the team in identifying opportunities for improvement in processes, technology and capability, bridging the gaps between strategy, sales, digital and operational activity.  Part of the Senior Leadership Team, you’ll develop strategic insights and drive improvements and efficiencies across operations and credit, ensuring we are equipped to manage current and future growth.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this multi-faceted role will encompass operational strategy, resource planning, data insights and technology integrations as well as lead on the operational excellence and transformation project to identify and implement process improvements and efficiency. At the heart of all you do you will ensure the customer and partner journey are at the forefront, resolving issues that impact service delivery.

The role will include;

  • Identifying trends and developing strategic insights as well as implementing the transformation project
  • Implementation of capacity plans, ensuring that we have the right people to support business growth and remain within budget
  • Collaborate with digital and IT teams to ensure that improvements in systems and technology meet the operational needs now and, in the future
  • Leading and motivating your team to identify inefficiencies and implement improved processes across teams, ensuring that you promote a continuous improvement culture
  • Implement standard processes, frameworks and documentation in line with regulatory requirements, ensuring adherence within day to day operations
  • Manage customer and partner data, collaborating with teams to diagnose key issues and understand solutions

Who we are looking for

You are experienced in setting out a clear vision, leading, motivating and inspiring your team and collaborating across the business to continuously enhance and improve processes, technology and human capabilities. You’ll have in-depth experience of customer journeys within a financial services setting and programme management skills that allow you to develop and execute clear plans, identifying and prioritising activities that will significantly advance the transformation plan.

You’ll build, nurture and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders and the wider business and are comfortable communicating at all levels, able to contribute ideas and narrate a story both verbally and via PowerPoint that will engage and motivate the teams around you.

To be successful as our Operations Excellence Director you

  • Have deep commercial and financial knowledge and understand the implication on business operations
  • Have the ability to see the big picture as well as focus on details
  • Are curious, analytical and solutions focussed, able to understand data insight and identify gaps in information
  • Are able to work collaboratively across multiple functions to remove silos and nurture a continuous improvement culture
