Job Title: Staff Nurse - Band 5
Location: HMP Guys Marsh, Shaftesbury, SP7 0AH
Directorate: Forensic and Prison Services
Hours: 37.5 hours/week (4 shifts per week)
Contract: 3-month assignment with the possibility of extension
Salary: Competitive rates

About the Role

As a Staff Nurse at HMP Guys Marsh, you will be pivotal in delivering comprehensive, high-quality healthcare services to a vulnerable population within a secure setting. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of patients with complex healthcare needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide a range of healthcare services, including acute and primary care, long-term condition management, and health promotion.
• Support and lead a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standards of care.
• Manage a complex clinical caseload, contributing to continuous service development and improvement.
• Collaborate closely with prison staff and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless and integrated care.
• Ensure that patient-centered care is consistently delivered, from planning through to evaluation.

What We’re Looking For:

• Registered General Nurse with a valid NMC qualification.
• Experience in secure or prison settings is a strong advantage.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work effectively and autonomously in a challenging environment.
