We are recruiting for a Trained Quantity Surveyor, with experience of planning the pricing for a range of Maintenance projects.  You will be involved in pricing of scope works to support change, lifecycle planning and the Annual Maintenance Plan. 
 
You will also, review contractor’s quotes, tender returns and work estimates to substantiate or challenge value for money.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepares ROM costings based on pricing methodologies and historic contractor prices for defined Scopes of Work.
  • Delivers strong commercial approach to accurately estimate and quantify Scopes of work by reviewing the work ensuring all elements accounted for.
  • Undertakes quantitative analysis to compare ROMs against market.
  • Support the updating of rates in the asset planning software based on market returns.
  • Supporting  estimates in their production of the Annual Maintenance plan
Experience & Skills Required:
  • Educated to a minimum HNC/HND level or equivalent in a relevant discipline preferably with a professional membership eg, CIBSE, RICS or CIOB.
  • Understand pricing in construction and where to find and interpret available data
  • Current knowledge of building regulations
