• Effectively participate within the Proposals function for water treatment clients
• Review tender/enquiry documentation to facilitate effective 'bid/no-bid' decision making
• Liaise with all relevant parties, both internally and externally, to receive timely and accurate information/quotations as necessary for the delivery of high-quality competitive proposals
• Preparation of accurate and competitive proposal documents
• Ensure that proposals are presented in sufficient time for review/sign off
• Attend project kick-off meetings to hand-over successful proposals to the project execution team
• Co-ordinate and attend site meetings as necessary to survey/review the client's requirements
• Notify Technology senior management team of any significant commercial, technical, or contractual risks associated with projects arising from specific proposals
• Actively carry out continual improvements to affect quality and efficiency within the proposals team
• Assist with developing the Quoting Portal and costing spreadsheets to clearly capture costs and scope, which also aid input into project execution systems during the project award and kick-off phases

Proposals Engineer - The Person:

• A proven track record of estimating electrical control panels and MCCs
• Technical knowledge of control systems, electrical control panels and MCCs
• The ability to effectively meet client timescales and estimate project costs
• Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
• A good up-to-date working knowledge of all aspects of contractual arrangements and best practice
• A willingness to undertake an annual performance 1 to 1 review and to attend and participate in all internal and external training courses

This position is ideal for an experienced Proposals Engineer or Estimator, or an internal sales, technical support, electrical design or test engineer IF you have experience of Motor Control Centres ( MCC ) for systems integration projets.

Located in Cheshire, this role would be commutable from Warrington, Stockport, Leigh, Knutsford, Manchester and surrounding areas.
