On behalf of a well-known and very well-respected Food Manufacturing company, M4 Recruitment are recruiting for a dispatch operative to start immediately in the Newbury area.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is an experienced Dispatch Operative, customer facing hands on focused individual looking to join and work within a team of professional staff in a busy dispatch office environment. Dispatch operative candidate will need to be a highly motivated with a proactive attitude and a right first-time approach with the ability to thrive in this fast-paced environment. In addition to this the Dispatch Operative candidate will need to have a very hi level of attention to detail and be PC literate with data input skills.

Responsibilities for Dispatch Operative:

• Dispatching and debriefing drivers.
• Quality control of goods prior to dispatch.
• Amending the routing plan as required on a day-by-day basis.
• Answering the telephone liaising directly with driver, colleagues, and customers to ensure that services are delivered efficiently and effectively.
• Investigating and problem solving.
• Monitor empty mileage.
• Ad hoc duties

You will be expected to work Between 6am – 4pm however you will need to be flexible with your working hours. Working shift pattern would be 5 – 6 days per week.

The right candidate for the Dispatch Operative role specifications:

• Problems solving.
• Driver fines and parking infringements knowledge.
• Log and Administer Insurance claims.
• General Traffic Office Administration Support.
• previous Administration experience, have a can-do attitude along with the desire to succeed.
• self-motivated, confident, proactive, and strategic in your approach
• good communication skills via all mediums written telephone computer etc.
• Experience working in the food industry would be beneficial.
