GSL Education South Yorkshire is seeking to employ a Qualified Chemistry Teacher to work for a client school based in Doncaster. This is an exciting opportunity for a hardworking, conscientious, and energetic candidate with a strong track record of raising attainment.

Job Description: We seek a passionate and dedicated Chemistry Teacher to join our Science Department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemistry, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to helping students achieve their full potential. You will deliver engaging and effective chemistry lessons to students at various levels.

Chemistry Teacher Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality chemistry lessons that cater to different learning styles.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and educational standards.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Prepare students for exams and other assessments, ensuring they understand key concepts and can apply them in practical situations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Science Department’s curriculum and extracurricular offerings.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
  • Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about student progress and any concerns.

Qualifications for Chemistry Teacher:

  • Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or a related field; master’s degree preferred.
  • Previous teaching experience in a high school setting is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of chemistry principles and laboratory safety practices.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students with a genuine enthusiasm for the subject.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with the latest educational trends.
