£50,000 - £65,000/annum

My client, a well established construction consultancy based in Gloucestershire and seeking a Quantity Surveyor/Senior Quantity Surveyor to become an integral part of their team. The company complete works across a range of sectors and projects but this role will have a big focus on projects in the high end residential sector.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of the cost management function, including cost planning, estimating, budgeting, cost control, and value engineering.
  • Oversee the preparation of tender documentation, including bills of quantities, specifications, and contract conditions.
  • Review tender submissions and make recommendations on contractor selection.
  • Manage the procurement process, including the preparation of contract documentation and the administration of contracts.
  • Provide cost advice and guidance to clients and project teams.
  • Monitor and report on project cost performance, highlighting any variances or potential risks.
  • Manage the resolution of contractual claims and disputes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
  • Chartered status with RICS
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in quantity surveying, with a strong focus on cost management.
  • Experience working on luxury residential projects
  • Excellent knowledge of construction contracts, procurement, and cost planning.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
