Site engineer and Section engineer

Location – Swindon

Rate – Competitive

My client is a Tier 1 contractor based in Swindon, who is currently looking for a site engineer or a section engineer with previous rail and bridges experience to work on one of the major rail projects on a long term contract position.

Site engineer responsibilities and requirements:

  • Previous experience in rail and bridges
  • Reporting to the Sub/Site Agent.
  • Setting Out and Monitoring.
  • Reviewing and Managing ITP’s and WPP’s
  • Raising of technical queries
  • Managing and working with Sub Contractors.
  • Update as built drawings
  • CSCS Card.
  • Must have valid PTS
  • Degree qualified or Time Served

Section engineer responsibilities and requirements:

  • Experience in major rail/bridges project 
  • Weekly Look Ahead programmes and work Schedules 
  • Progress Reports 
  • Quality Records (technical Queries, Setting Out and Dimensional Controls, Formation Approvals, Reinforcement Records, Concrete Pour Records, Drainage Inspection Records, Instrument Calibration Checks Etc.) 
  • Temporary Works design briefs, crane studies 
  • and Permits to Load 
  • Daily Site Diaries 
  • Records of verbal instructions. 
  • Lost time, daywork etc. 
  • Behavioural Safety Observation 
  • Civil Engineering Degree 
  • Ability to manage a section site engineering team 
  • SMSTS card preferable 
  • CSCS card 
  • Temporary Works Knowledge 
  • First Aid
