Job role: Learning Management System (LMS) Specialist

Start date: ASAP

End date:  At least 3 months with the potential to be long term for the right candidate  

Hours: Monday – Friday, 09:00 to 17:00

Location: Shoreditch/Old Steet

Pay:

£15 - £16.50 PAYE Inclusive of Holiday Pay

£17 - £19ph Umbrella depending on skill, experience and pay type

Job Summary:

This postholder will act as expert user of Learning Management System and have responsibility for managing and monitoring LMS system activities including data reporting, data completeness, data integrity, quality and configuration and maintenance.

Duties:

  • Responsible for service provision and key functionality of the LMS.
  • Manage and maximise the functionality of our LMS Kallidus ‘Learn’ and be the system expert.
  • Create ‘how to’ digital user guides and videos to support the user experience of staff across the Trust.
  • Provide reports to support the Associate and Deputy Directors of Workforce and reporting back to executive committees against training compliance and the corporate risk register.
  • Develop system administration and user / role specific system policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for working with managers, clinical and non-clinical staff within the trust to ensure that all staff understand how the LMS can facilitate effective access to and/or delivery of learning as well as support compliance monitoring.
  • Lead key stakeholders in the testing and implementation of new software releases, updates and fault fixes for the LMS.
  • Work closely with the lead on a day-to-day basis and support the e-learning developer with the uploading of locally and nationally created eLearning content.
  • Ensure data accuracy by putting in place robust data quality assurance processes.
  • Be able to develop technical solutions to stakeholder requirements.
  • Responsible for responding to day-to-day technical issues relating to the systems.
  • Provide expert technical advice to subject matter experts and directorate training leads to enable the development of courses, accreditations and audiences to allow the system management of mandatory and role specific essential training.
  • Support the learning and development manager, co-ordinators, subject matter experts, local mandatory training leads and educators to ensure the organisation meets the standards set out in Core Skills Training Framework.

Essential Experience:

  • Learning Management System experience
  • NHS experience
  • Solving technical difficulties within a healthcare setting
  • Liaising and working with a variety of people from junior staff to stakeholders and Directors

Desirable Experience:

  • Previous experience training members of staff
  • Experience in conducting presentations
  • Demonstrate excellent time management skills and ability of working to deadlines.
