Monday – Thursday 8:30 am – 5 pm and Friday 8:30 am – 4 pm
Kegworth, hybrid – work 2 days from home

What you’ll be doing as a Demand Analyst
Reporting to the Demand & Forecast Manager, this role will effectively ‘drive’ the business forecasting software maintaining and updating volume forecasts accurately. Issuing forecast review files on time and in the appropriate detail. It will also analyse forecast accuracy figures, and target consistently underperforming SKUs, categories, or customers to drive sustainable improvement.


Generating reports and all routine communications output from the forecasting department. Responsible for the good housekeeping of all relevant systems and carrying out administration activities as allocated by the Forecast & Demand Manager for the Forecasting function.


Key responsibilities of the Demand Analyst

  • Execute all facets of the Forecasting processes to facilitate the agreed customer service level & optimize operational efficiency
  • To facilitate the reduction of working capital through better forecast control.
  • Using the short term extracts from the customer forecasts to interrogate and improve short term forecast accuracy to avoid short term service and capacity constraints.
  • Collaborate with all other functions to ensure that the appropriate data is available and accurate, to be reviewed at the S&OP process meetings.
  • Evaluate forecast accuracy performance and capability, building into the S&OP process risk mitigating approaches to manage delivery of forecast KPI’s.
  • Ensure that Refreco’s forecasting communication is aligned internally, to drive focused, agreed and consistent activities.
  • Taking the lead and identifying improvement projects to improve forecast accuracy.
  • Administration of standing system data and housekeeping of forecasting systems.
  • Correcting anomaly data within forecast system (e.g. shortages, promotions etc.) to prevent skewing of the forecast engine
  • To be the internal forecasting system experts, including engine tuning and view / dataset building

 

About you
The preferred candidate must demonstrate a strong analytical aptitude and the ability to exhibit collaboration. Proficient in administrative tasks with a meticulous attention to detail. Previous experience in utilizing an advanced forecasting tool, preferably within an FMCG environment, is highly desirable.
