Hunt4 Employment is looking for a Logistic and Factory Technician to join our client in Gloucester.

Working within the manufacturing, stores and outside yard area to help manage the logistics of goods in and goods out including inter company site movements.

The role will also require from time to time

• the delivery/collection of goods using the company vehicle to and from customers and suppliers.
• include internal factory logistics, moving materials and waste
• this will require the driving of a forklift truck
• assisting your colleagues in the assembly area with product painting and an extra pair of hands when required.
• cutting material on bandsaw
• fill-in operator loading and unloading parts on CNC machines

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Forklift driving, un-loading and loading vehicles, checking and booking in goods from suppliers
• Packing of goods ready for shipment. Making up pallets or boxes of parts to be sent out to customers.
• Processing and monitoring the storage, delivery and dispatch of orders.
• Driving the company’s transit pickup truck to facilitate the movement of stock between sites and suppliers and customers.
• Issuing, and if required, cutting of material for the machine shop.
• Assisting the press assembly team when an extra pair of hands or forklift driver is required.
• Assisting with the priming and painting of machines and parts with brush and roller.
• Working closely with machine shop team bringing in material and taking aware waste and finished parts for storing or assembly.
• Actively play your part in creating a safe working environment for all employees, customers, clients and suppliers who visit or use the site.
• Be active in creating and maintaining a clean and tidy working area within the factory and yard.
• Good time management and a flexible approach to working hours
• Support the management with stock organisation, stock counts as well as the re-organisation of storage as required.
• Assist the company in the development of its internal stock control system which may require inputting information on the computer systems.
• Bring any new ideas of improvement to the attention of the company.
