Our Role: 

Are you passionate about supporting children with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties)? We are seeking an enthusiastic SEMH Primary Teacher to join our friendly, co-educational primary school in Southend. This is a fantastic chance to make a real difference in the lives of our pupils in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

Job Summary Of an SEMH Primary Teacher:  

As an SEMH Primary Teacher, you will play a vital role in helping children in a supportive learning environment. You will work closely with teachers to create engaging and inclusive lessons tailored to the needs of each student.

Job Responsibilities for an SEMH Primary Teacher:  

  • Must be extra careful with the supervision of specially challenged learners
  • A vast mentality to support students with SEMH needs students in the classroom and during other school activities too.
  • Have to work under the supervision of a teacher or an instructor
  • Need to give proper attention & instruction by providing a proper environment of learning according to plans & ideas.
  • A commitment to yourself to have patience, empathy, and sincerity to nurture a learner’s development.

Qualifications as an SEMH Primary Teacher:  

  • Must be experienced with SEMH.
  • Must be Experienced with QTS, QLTS, PGCE or equivalent.
  • Passion for committing to support special student welfare and progress
  • Experienced candidates in the relevant field will be preferred.
  • Extra careful regard for time management as well as behavioural terms.
  •  Proficiency to work as a team or individual
  • Comfortable interactions with better communication skills.
  • Must have DBS (updated service) for the safeguard issue of the learners.
