Job Title: Senior Project Manager - TRU
Location: Flexible, with regular work from DfT Leeds and Network Rail York offices
Contract: Full-time, 2-year fixed term
Salary: £52,330.00 - £60,718.00 per annum
Grade: Grade 5 Upper
Role Purpose:
Manage the delivery of large and complex projects within the Trans-Pennine Route Upgrade (TRU) program, collaborating with key stakeholders to achieve project objectives, minimize passenger disruption, and ensure the realization of project benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead project teams to deliver TRU objectives.
- Oversee project planning, setting milestones, and monitoring progress.
- Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Network Rail, Train Operating Companies, and contractors.
- Ensure compliance with project management policies, risk management processes, and legal requirements.
- Take corrective actions to address issues and monitor project performance.
Requirements:
- Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
- Professional qualification in project or program management (e.g., PRINCE2).
- Extensive experience managing large, complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
- Strong knowledge of the rail and transport industry.
- Proven leadership, communication, and financial management skills.
