We are looking for an experienced Positive Behaviour Specialist to join a developing Learning Disabilities / Autism Care / Mental Health care provider in Bristol to oversee Positive Behavioural Support across their services in this area.
As Positive Behaviour Specialist you will;
• Complete behavioural assessments, including functional analyses, and provide interpretations of the results.
• Effectively develop and implement appropriate assessment and intervention methods.
• Formulate PBS plans in accordance with best practice guidance in this area, involving the individual and the wider support team.
• Provide behavioural advice, guidance and consultation to support staff, families and other professionals.
• Manage highly complex information and sensitive situations involving exposure to distressing, traumatic and emotional material, including exposure to challenging behaviours and serious offending histories.
The Director is looking for a Positive Behaviour Specialist candidates who have a highly experienced background in Learning Disabilities / Autism Care / Mental Health care. Positive Behaviour Specialist candidates must have worked within PBS teams previously and should have a degree / PBS related qualification.

Positive Behaviour Specialist Requirements:
• Learning Disabilities / Autism Care / Mental Health care experience
• Strong PBS management skills
• Positive Behaviour Support experience
• Understanding of current care practices in PBS, PCAS, RPI reduction, government initiatives & regulatory requirements
• Hold a recognized qualification e.g. Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) / Positive Behaviour Support or other relevant qualification
• Ability to travel - ability to travel across multiple sites & work remotely
• Driving license
