Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Projects to lead our project management team. This role involves overseeing the delivery of client-funded projects, managing a team of project managers, project engineers and handling your own projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in project management, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to drive successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Team Management:
* Lead, mentor, and manage a team of project managers and engineers.
* Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
* Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback and development opportunities.

Project Management:
* Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of client-funded projects.
* Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
* Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets.
* Identify and mitigate project risks and issues.

Client Engagement:
* Serve as the primary point of contact for internal client management team and clients on project-related matters.
* Build and maintain strong client relationships.
* Ensure client satisfaction and manage client expectations.

Strategic Planning:
* Contribute to the development of project management strategies and methodologies.
* Align project management practices with organisational goals and objectives.
* Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.

Resource Management:
* Allocate resources effectively to ensure project success.
* Manage project budgets and financials.
* Coordinate with other departments to ensure resource availability and allocation.

Reporting and Documentation:
* Prepare and present project status reports to senior management and clients.
* Maintain comprehensive project documentation.
* Ensure compliance with organisational policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in project management, Business Administration, or a related field.
* Experiencing managing technology deployments, often from client sites
* PMP or equivalent project management certification preferred.

Must have:

* Proven experience in managing client-funded projects.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
