£80,000 - £90,000/annum Plus package

My client, a well established main contractor across multiple sectors, is looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to join them on a permanent basis, covering projects in and around the Thames Valley, London, and South of England. Experience in delivering Commercial New Builds and Refurbishments is essential.

Contracts Manager Responsibilities:

  • Preparing tenders for clients and commercial bids to help bring in new business
  • Developing and presenting project proposals
  • Meeting with clients to find out their requirements
  • Producing plans and estimating budgets and timescales
  • Agreeing to and managing budgets and timescales
  • Attending site meetings to monitor progress
  • Acting as the main point of contact for clients, site and project managers
  • Making sure construction projects meet agreed technical standards
  • Liaising with technical and financial staff, sub-contractors, legal teams
  • Ensuring all sites are following Health & Safety best practice and procedures

Contracts Manager Requirements:

  • Proven track record as a Contracts Manager, ideally covering Commercial and builds
  • Ability to manage several sites at once
  • Good understanding of the full construction process from pre-planning to completion
  • Excellent communication skills and strong leadership skills
  • Up to date with Health and Safety best practice and regulations as well as quality control processes
