Copello are pleased to be partnered with a leading consultancy operating with the Defence arena, recruiting for an ILS Engineer to join their team in Bristol.

Working in close partnership with the MOD and global primes, the ILS Engineer will be joining a forward thinking team and supporting the development of key military systems. Bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise from experience a defence/ MOD background, the Supportability specialist will be managing work packages on behalf of the project delivery team, whilst identifying engineering and support requirements and liaising with key stakeholders to facilitate the development and delivery.

We are looking for experience in the following areas;

• Experience in a similar position within the UK MOD or extensive knowledge of the UK Defence sector with knowledge of JSP886/ DLF, ISO9000, ISO26262 etc
• Demonstrable experience of ILS including ASD and IPS.
• Previous delivery as a part of an ILS team of efficient support solutions
• In depth understanding of DEF-STAN 00-600
• Fully converse with supply chain management, risk analysis and design change reviews
• Supply relationship management and stakeholder management throughout full project delivery lifecycle
• Knowledge of UK acquisition frameworks (Business cases, URD, SRD, ITEAP etc)
• Knowledge of operational environments, including the challenges and impacts of geography, climate, media, population, cyber etc

The ILS Engineer will develop strong relationships with clients across the sector, and be able to work autonomously or within engineering and other cross-functional teams.

This position is based in Bristol, but will offer an attractive flexible working approach.
