Hours of work: 08:00 – 17:30, Monday to Friday
Due to increased demand, our client is looking to hire skilled Main Layer/Electro Fusion Welders for contract work in Chessington.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform main layer and pipe laying tasks as per project requirements
- Conduct electro fusion welding in a safe and efficient manner
- PE Pipe Installation: Install PE pipework (Rising Mains) and associated electro-fusion welded fittings.
- Welding Operations: Safely and efficiently operate welding equipment including electrofusion machines and associated tools.
- Quality Control: Inspect welds to ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
- General Assistance: Assist in various tasks related to the installation and welding of pipework.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE, ensuring a safe working environment at all times.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven experience working on civil sites, particularly with hand and power tools.
- CSCS Card: A valid CSCS card is essential.
- Main Layer & Welding Experience: Experience with main layer and pipe laying tasks, as well as electro-fusion welding, is required from 20mm service pipes up to 710mm trunk Mains..
- EUSR Certification: A valid EUSR (Energy and Utility Skills Register) certification is mandatory.
