**Job Advertisement: General Foreman (Freelance) - 6-Month Contract - South West UK**

We are seeking a highly skilled **General Foreman** for a 6-month freelance contract, based in the South West of the UK. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team, overseeing core teams and sub-contractors on civil construction projects.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Supervise core teams and sub-contractors, ensuring efficient and safe operations.
- Oversee safe working systems, ensuring all necessary briefings and POWRAs are completed and signed off.
- Provide day-to-day supervision on site, ensuring workers are effectively managed.
- Review and approve working documentation, ensuring relevance and accuracy for all tasks.
- Support the Site Agent in managing and programming works, including coordination of plant and material needs.
- Manage plant delivery sign-offs, audits, and ensure effective utilisation on site.
- Ensure high standards of health, safety, wellbeing, environmental, and quality compliance.
- Deliver and record Toolbox Talks, Stand Downs, and Stand Ups as required.
- Ensure adherence to SHEQ processes and procedures, as per the CQAP.

**Success in the role will be measured by:**
- Bi-Annual Personal Development Reviews (PDR)
- Safe and high-quality completion of programme works
- Effective communication and engagement with teams
- Completion of HSE inspections

**Required Skills & Experience:**
- Extensive knowledge of civil construction
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and drawings
- CSCS Card and SMSTS certification
- CITB Managers and Professionals qualification
- NVQ Level 3 in Occupational Work Supervision
- ILM Level 3 Certificate (including nuclear unit) - to be completed within 6 months
- Strong communication skills and basic IT proficiency
