Junior Design Engineer

Location: Mildenhall, Suffolk

Hours: Monday- Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm

Salary: £25,000 - £27,500 Depending on experience

Benefits: 26 days holiday + 8 bank holidays, health cash plan, death in service cover

Duties to Include:

• Use SolidWorks and AutoCAD to produce high quality 3D models and technical drawings.
• Maintain and update a drawing management system with standard drawings.
• Liaise with the sales team to raise designs from customer briefs.
• Assist the CAD Designers and Design Supervisor with more complex drawings.
• Liaise with the production team to ensure they have the correct technical drawings.
• Support the sales and order processing team with processing orders in exceptional circumstances such as unplanned leave.

What we are looking for:

• Some previous experience using SolidWorks and AutoCAD to produce 3D models and technical drawings.
• A Design/Engineering based qualification e.g. A Level/BTEC/Apprenticeship./Degree.
• Experience working in a production/manufacturing environment producing high quality drawings and products.
• A good knowledge of MS Packages
• Excellent communication skills.
