Barker Ross are looking to recruit for a Machine Operative based in the Braunstone (LE3) area to join a friendly and fun team.

We are looking for a reliable Machine Operative to help them meet client demands. This team has a strong team ethos. Working together and helping each other is their main aim.

Previous machine operative experience is required.

Shift patterns To work:

Monday - Friday 1:30 pm - 9pm. Weekend work available.

The Salary for this position is £13.00 - £16.50 an hour and overtime will be paid at time and half.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machines both automated and non-automated
• Monitor assigned machine to ensure adherence to specifications and make adjustments as needed to maintain specification and operating speed
• Troubleshoot Machine problems, resolve if possible, notify shop floor manager
• Perform Quality checks and stack/tray finish products according to job specification
• Record production data with accuracy on to company timesheets
• Run Equipment at optimal level at all times to meet job target dates

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following

• Experience working in the Direct Mail industry
• Good communication skills
• Strong visual skills with an eye for detail
• A good strong team ethic and willingness to 'pitch in' whenever necessary.
• This is a physical job which requires a certain degree of physical fitness.
• Guarantee their own work is to the highest standard.
• Show commitment to good Health & Safety practice.
• Maintain a Clean & Tidy production area.
• Be a great team player.
• Can work independently to a high standard
• Must be able to do flexible working hours and on occasions prepared to do overtime at the weekends.
