Vision for Education are currently recruiting for a permanent position in a school in Bodmin. The current need is for a Teaching Assistant.

About the role:

-Full time – Term time only – Monday-Friday

-Permanent after a successful probation period

-Working with children with SEMH needs

-Teaching Assistant working 1:1 and 2:1

This school is located in Redruth and supports students from EYFS – Year 11. All of the students have SEMH needs and so they require a Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 or 2:1 basis. This school is a specialist setting, providing educational subject lessons and work away from the school to encourage SEMH skills. Many of these students will go on to college, work or independent living and your role will be to help them get there. You will be on and off site and will require your own car when doing this. Mileage and expenses will be covered.

The school offers in depth training during the probation period, to upskill you in the role and prepare you for your 1:1 role. This training will be in one of the bases, free of charge but are nationally recognised. There will also be chances for you to work your way up in the role as well.

Requirements:

-Previous Teaching Assistant, Youth Work or Healthcare experience

-Previous experience of supporting children or adults with SEND or SEMH needs

-Full, clean driving licence – with business insurance

-DBS on the Update Service – We can support with this

-Full time availability on a permanent basis
