Location: Dudley, West Midlands
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 2 shift pattern.
Salary: Up To £14.65 p/h including shift allowance.
I am currently recruiting for a tool setter for a local injection moulding company based in the Dudley area.
The tool setter would be responsible for change overs, setting and first-offs for inspection in a required timeframe to meet the demands and expectations of the production plan.
This would include a health and safety focused element with loading/unloading of tooling and all associated equipment.
The main duties:
- Change over of all tooling and relevant equipment.
- First-off part production for inspection.
- Health and Safety focused with occasional working with heights.
- Planned maintenance when required.
- Start-up/close down of injection moulding machinery in line with set procedures.
- Help drive continuous improvement and 5S culture.
- Undertake all internal and external training required for this role.
Ideal candidate:
- Previous technical experience with plastic injection moulding tools and equipment.
- IMT 2 qualified (desirable).
- Experience with 3-axis robots (desirable).
- Experience of working in a fast-paced Tier 1 supplier environment.
- Good standard of numeracy and literacy.
- Good standard of written and verbal communication.
- Experience of engineering drawings.
