Job Title: Construction and Commission Engineer (Subsea and Renewable Asset Installation & Intervention Equipment)

Job Overview: Construction and Commission Engineers will drive the commissioning & testing processes and will work in collaboration with the design, fabrication and project management teams.

Typical equipment - offshore wind turbine foundation deployment systems, ploughs, deck spreads, walk to work systems - amongst others - each system is unique and complex.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Planning and Management:

    • Develop detailed project plans and schedules.
    • Develop in conjunction with others commissioning plans and procedures for complex equipment design, build and operation
    • Coordinate with project managers, clients, and others
  • Installation and Commissioning:

    • Supervise the installation of subsea and renewable energy equipment.
    • Conduct pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
    • Perform system testing and troubleshooting.
  • Technical Support:

    • Provide technical guidance and support to the installation team.
    • Develop and review technical documentation, including procedures and reports.
    • Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Collaboration and Communication:

    • Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
    • Prepare and present progress reports.
    • Facilitate effective communication among project team members.
Qualifications:
  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Marine, or related field) or equivalent demonstrable experience.
  • Experience:

    • Proven experience in subsea and renewable energy projects.
    • Familiarity with offshore construction and commissioning processes.
  • Skills:

    • Strong project management and organisational skills.
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
    • Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project).
Work Environment:
  • Location:

    • North East England
    • Offshore and onshore sites, depending on project requirements.
    • Travel to various project locations may be required.
  • Conditions:

    • Work in challenging environments, including offshore and renewable energy fabrication sites.
    • Adherence to strict safety protocols and procedures.
This role is crucial for ensuring the successful deployment and operation of subsea and renewable energy deployment and intervention assets.
