Description

As a Design Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating with architects, engineers, and contractors to develop and implement design concepts. You will provide guidance and leadership to a team of designers, ensuring the timely completion of design deliverables. Additionally, you will review and approve design plans and specifications, while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and codes.

The successful candidate will possess a strong background in construction design management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects. The ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams is essential. The Design Manager is expected to stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, incorporating innovation into our designs to stay ahead of the competition.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to develop and implement design concepts
  • Provide guidance and leadership to a team of designers, ensuring the timely completion of design deliverables
  • Review and approve design plans and specifications, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and codes
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure designs meet both aesthetic and functional requirements
  • Conduct regular design reviews to identify and resolve any potential issues
  • Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software and other tools to assist in the design process
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, incorporating innovation into designs

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in design within the construction industry
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in design management
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD, Sketchup, Revit) software and other relevant design tools
  • Strong leadership and project management skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • In-depth knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
