We are seeking a highly experienced Production Manager to lead a dedicated production team based out of a well-established manufacturing site in Reading, Berkshire.

This role is pivotal in driving the efficiency and effectiveness of our clients manufacturing operations, which feature advanced machinery including 40 injection moulding machines and extensive extrusion lines.

This full-time, permanent position offers a robust platform for professional growth in a fast-paced environment.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the Mould Shop, ensuring seamless production schedules and workflow integration across 60+ employees in both day and night shifts.
• Collaborate closely with the Mould Shop Technical Manager and Operations Manager to implement strategic improvements and technological advancements.
• Lead and develop the team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and high performance. Manage all aspects of team dynamics including training, health and safety standards, and employee well-being.
• Utilize lean manufacturing principles, such as 5S, to enhance production efficiency, reduce waste, and support quality management initiatives.
• Work with various departments to ensure a cohesive production line, addressing any issues promptly and maintaining high standards of manufacturing excellence.

Qualifications and Skills required:

• Proven experience as a Production or Manufacturing Manager within a fast-paced manufacturing setting, preferably in plastics, injection moulding, CNC or related sectors.
• Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
• Expertise in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and proficiency in managing complex production lines.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, capable of working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Experience with automated and technology-driven manufacturing environments is highly desirable.

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 + Bonus

Hours: Full-Time, Days & Monday - Friday
