Role: SEN Teacher

Location: Stretford

Salary: £30k to 46k

Hours: Full Time - 8:20am to 3:30pm

Value Education are seeking an experienced SEN Teacher to join an established team at an SEN Primary School in Manchester.

This position will entail working 5 days a week teaching students aged 3-11 in mixed ability classes with students with Special Educational Needs and physical disabilities.

About the School:

The School caters for pupils aged 3 to 11 with ASD and physical disabilities. They are seeking a Teacher to promote student development through a holistic curriculum in small mixed ability classes. Children in the school have complex needs and use a range of different communication methods in classes from Nursery to Key Stage 2.

The role of an SEN Teacher:

In this role, each day is different and so adapting to new environments and different learning styles is key. You will be enthusiastic about teaching different subjects in the School day and supporting students who with complex needs. We are looking for someone that can make a positive difference to learning and be creative in their methods and teaching styles.

Requirements for the Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status
• Knowledge of Foundation, KS1 and KS2 curriculum
• Ability to effectively develop the confidence and social skills of pupils
• An understanding of working with students with ASD
• An understanding of pupils’ behaviour patterns when experiencing complex needs
