Our client is one of the UK’s leading manufacturers. With a strong engineering foundation, they place a high emphasis on the efficiency of their production systems, and engineering plays a pivotal role in their operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead the current maintenance team.
  • Oversee the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) scheme.
  • Ensure compliance and management of Health and Safety systems.
  • Drive process improvement through identification, proposal, and execution.
  • Manage small-scale improvement projects, including justification, implementation, and post-appraisal.
  • Oversee spare part stock and procurement.

  • 22 days of paid annual leave, increasing by 1 day per year up to a maximum of 27 days, plus statutory holidays.

To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will:

  • Evaluate mechanical, electromechanical, and electrical systems for performance improvement.
  • Understand system requirements to enhance efficiency.
  • Use process and equipment measurements to assess and discuss operating conditions.
  • Prioritise and plan workload effectively.
  • Stay updated with technical knowledge of engineering systems.
  • Handle pressure and meet deadlines with good problem-solving and creative thinking skills.
  • Show strong commercial awareness and product understanding.
